A quick post before bed

Life has been very hectic, but good lately. I took mom to the walkin clinic to have her leg ulcer checked and it's a good thing I did, as she has an infection (cellulitis) and the doctor prescribed a second dose of antibiotics and re-dressed it for her.

I was babysitting for my grandchildren last night and got home at 12:30 so slept until 10:30 this a.m. so was totally wiped out today (Saturday). I bought "The Pianist" and watched while I ate dinner and then I watched "Heartbeat" and "Inspector Morse." I am almost ready for bed.

I had a visitor this past week - an old family friend from Port Alberni. I would love to get over there for a visit this summer. I think I really will try to do that. However, Lynn will have to be home from work, as she works full-time and so do I. I will have to see when she has a day off.

We are planning a high school 40th reunion in September and I am getting excited. I am on the planning committee. One of my old childhood friends is going to try to attend. I haven't seen her since 1979. That's 18 years! She lives in New Brunswick, so if she can get a seat sale or fly by West Jet, and if she can get the time off, she will come. She wants to see her 90-year-old aunt again too.

Well, I best get to bed.
