Post Script

Post Script: The weather has been unbelievably cold and snowy on Vancouver Island this past few days. However, today it warmed up to 1 degree celcius and the snow began to melt. I have had to remove about 3 inches of snow from my car three times in the past two days, which also takes a lot of energy.

A hectic month

Since mom has moved into this building I seem to keep very busy washing her laundry, taking her mail and newspapers up to her, and buying groceries for her. Also my son asked me to babysit my grandchildren every second Friday (or Saturday some weeks). I have libray books waiting to be read and writing projects waiting to be worked on. I have meetings to attend (and often can't make it to them). So it is no wonder I haven't been blogging lately. I have managed to write a few letters to the local newspaper though.

Something else that is draining my energy is that fact that the young people who live in the apartment next to mine tend to party at very odd hours in the night and odd nights of the week. Usually it seems to be Thursday night that they get too loud, but last night was Wednesday and they had some very boisterous visitors over at 4:30 a.m. Their voices were very loud and they were playing music with a very loud bass beat. When this happens I am forced to open up my sofa and make a bed out of it. It isn't very comfortable, but I disovered that if I put a thin pillow between me and the hard metal bar that digs into my ribs, that seems to work. The only thing is, my neck gets a bit kinked from the odd position I end up sleeping in.

I took a Tylenol #3 and 25 mg extra of Elavil in order to get back to sleep.

Well, I am feeling rather exhausted as a result of this and am giong to shut down now and prepare for an early night. Hopefully, I will have something more cheerful to write soon.
